Mark Robinson

Director

I was the child who didn’t know what they wanted to do when they grew up. Before joining Bellyflop, I worked in various roles from engineering to finance and entertainment to public transport across public, private & third sectors.

By working with me, you tap into that wealth of experience. Whether I am delivering marketing consultancy, strategy development, or any of our other services, you also benefit from my passion and enthusiasm for marketing and digital marketing.

I understand the marketing and communication challenges faced by businesses of all sizes. I take a practical approach to finding solutions to businesses’ marketing challenges in our increasingly digital world.

I support you with guidance on marketing, social media, video marketing strategies and content creation. Knowledge is based not only on experience but also on a sound understanding of marketing and digital marketing and delivering results.

I firmly believe video should be affordable, achievable and accessible for all businesses regardless of how big or small they are. I support clients to get the best return on investment from their projects. Heading up the team, I become the conduit between our client’s vision, their marketing objectives, and the Bellyflop team’s creative output.

Jonathan Robinson

Director

As a child, I wanted to make video and TV. After completing University, I started my first broadcast TV job in 1996 with Nickelodeon. I have worked for many leading broadcasters, including the BBC and ITV, on children’s TV and primetime entertainment shows. I am thrilled to still work in the TV industry and love picking up my camera and creating engaging, informative and entertaining content.

I love how video is now more accessible than ever before. It has never been easier to create or watch new video content. I find the current trend for short-form video posted across Instagram and TikTok fascinating. I am excited to see how video will develop in the coming years as people grow in confidence and undoubtedly create more video content.

Part of what I love about our work is seeing our clients journey from video novice to regular video producers. Supporting clients on that journey is very rewarding.

Sharing my knowledge and experience and mentoring our team means Bellyflop stays updated with current production techniques, trends and equipment. Helping our clients obtain the best possible film at the most affordable cost, utilising broadcast tools and techniques. I’m proud of every film we create.

Ben Timberlake

Digital Marketer

I left school with no real idea what direction I wanted my career to take. I headed off to college with my A-levels insight, but I hated it!

I left college after muddling through months of learning that I didn’t enjoy and eventually stumbled upon a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. It’s safe to say I have never looked back, and now here I am, working toward a degree in digital marketing and living my best life as a member of the team at Bellyflop.

I’ve always been one to talk, but I was the quiet kid in school. Marketing allows me to communicate with thousands of people.

My experience so far in marketing has given me a platform to build on. Working with Bellyflop is the next step to developing my skills, and it is great to work together with a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated team. My colleagues never fail to surprise me. I see their hard work transforming a series of short clips into a story infused with creativity and meaning, and that is only the tip of the iceberg.

I love marketing and understand the power video holds. Whether it’s increasing brand awareness, converting prospects to consumers, or generating leads, video can do it all.

David Wright

Cameraman & Editor

Hello, I’m David. You will usually deal with me throughout the filming and editing process. I help make sure your video is perfect and meets all the criteria you have set for the project.

I have always enjoyed being creative and have always preferred to learn by doing. I started with Bellyflop back in 2014, initially part-time around my university studies, studying a Foundation Degree in Television Production.

After spending time further developing my filmmaking and editing skills, I became a full-time member of the Bellyflop team in the Summer of 2018.

The broad variety of films we create at Bellyflop means my work is different every day. Adding my creative input to our projects means that there is always something to challenge me and help improve my skills. There are also great opportunities for personal development through training and courses.

We produce video content varying from corporate video production, promotional films for charities, training or instructional videos and event and conference highlight films. This means there is always an opportunity to innovate and use new styles and techniques to ensure every project is unique and bespoke to our client’s needs.

Rex

Office Dog

My name is Rex and I am the Bellyflop Office Dog! They couldn’t think of a more imaginative title for me as my role covers so many areas but basically I am King of the office! I am the only member of staff everyone is pleased to see, it’s understandable though because I am so cute!

My roles here include being Chief of Security, nobody gets in without my approval. I am also proficient at taste testing food – dont bother trying to give me any of your avocado smash and quinoa salad though, I prefer a decent bacon butty or sausage sandwich, my team sometimes bring me one back from the events they go to but not as often as I’d like!

One of my other key roles is to keep stress levels down in the office. People paws are great for tummy rubs, ear scratches and throwing a ball for me and those all help keep them nice and chilled which means they notice my sad eyes and use their wierd people paws to open the treat bags for me.

I’m getting to be a bit of a celebrity, I’ve been on telly twice so far so, if you would like to meet me or get a pawtograph then do let one of my staff know and maybe I can tag along when they come to visit you. I’d love to see if your office has better treats than ours.

How we work

Our 6-Step Process to get from concept to completion.

1. Explore

Understanding your requirements is key to us delivering the project you want. Our exploratory discussions establish the best language to use when talking to your audience and what visuals will present the image you want to project.

2. Investigate

Who is your audience? What content do they engage with, and where do they hang out? Understanding your audience demographic helps us create content that resonates with your viewers.

3. Dream

This is where your ideas take flight and are exposed to the outside world (or to us). We establish what your dream content looks like and work on that to find a solution that fits within the budget and timescale we have for the project.

4. Create

With your concept in sight, we start the creative process. Filming, drafting, editing and fine-tuning your project. We work with you throughout to make sure your final film meets your brief perfectly.

5. Launch

It’s not enough to produce a great piece of video content; it needs support to be seen by the right audience at the right time. We can help ensure your film gets the exposure you need.

6. Analysis

Once it’s launched, we can help you track your film’s progress and engagement and ultimately help you measure your return on investment. Not just for reporting purposes but to make sure you can do it again on your next project.
