Three ways to boost business after Easter Lockdown

I would like to be writing an exciting blog about what wonderful family memories we are looking forward to creating this Easter weekend.  Of course we will be making memories but like many, our plans are somewhat different to those we might have hoped for.  I really do appreciate that the Bellyflop family have our health.

We are aware many businesses are facing challenges right now. From having to close because of the lockdown or struggling to keep the business ticking over whilst staff are self isolating, shielding or furloughed. We completely understand as all the events, conferences, testimonials and corporate films we would be expecting to shoot right now have been postponed.

We have been out filming though. We’ve helped some businesses and charities share news of their current situation with suppliers, customers and clients. They recognised it was important to maintain a presence online and felt having messages direct from the CEO showed they cared and were more personal than a blanket email.

It is important for businesses to maintain a presence online and in peoples minds at times like this. Studies after the 2008 crash and previous dips showed that companies that disappeared from view took longer to bounce back from the decline.

With this in mind we have looked to see what we may be able to do to support other businesses at this time. We have looked at our skillsets and have stripped back some of our services to be able to provide no-frills support packages for business. You’ll find a more detail on our website here.

The long and short of it is that we are all in this together, search #BusinessAsOne on Twitter to see other businesses extending their support or follow their account here. Additionally you could follow 52M here and join in the #LockdownChat every day from 1pm – 2pm to chat all things lockdown. It’s not always doom and gloom, some people like to lighten the mood. We do too…

This video was inspired by Aunty Bev. We spoke on the phone recently and she told me about how she had been to the supermarket wearing her mask and gloves and then shared this little pearl of wisdom that came from a conversation she had with an elderly neighbour of hers. I won’t spoil it, you’ll have to watch the video but it certainly made us laugh.

Finally I’d like to say if there is anything you think I may be able to do to help you then please get in touch, if I can help then I will. Have a safe and enjoyable Easter!

All the best,

Mark
