The Other Side of Google Street View

Google Street View is a handy tool for anyone who is looking for a good way to look around and get the feel for either; an office, a school or nursery, exhibits, health care centres and many more. It’s also used widely for getting detections and looking for visual clues when scouting locations.

There are many creative ways that Google Street View can be used. Such as, there is a dog at the moment travelling the world, so that you can see it from a dogs’ perspective. 360 cameras are all the rage now, so you can make your own tours and add them to Google.

Want to traverse some of the tallest mountains in the world? Aconcagua in South America, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa – now you can! How about seeing the wonders of the world? Stone Henge, the Pyramids of Giza, and so much more! It’s all waiting for you to explore.

One thing that I love about Google Street View is that there’s no limit to where you can go. Google have completed a sea tour with the Catlin Seaview Survey, a major scientific study of the world’s reefs, and they captured these amazing images for everyone to see through Google Street View! Aren’t they amazing to look at? You can see loads of wild life including my favourite animal, TURTLES!

Ever wanted to go the International Space Station? Well now you can because guess what, there’s a Google Street View up there too!

A fan of the software has even developed a game based on Google Street View, it’s called GeoGuessr. What this does is drop you in a random place in the world and you have to guess where about you are from road signs, landscapes and town names. It then scores you on how far off you were. This is a really creative idea for such a simple concept. It works so well and it’s really fun!

This is only the start of the possibilities for Google Street View, so what are you waiting for? Go see the world!
